For this project I wanted to make a conscious effort to explore artists, because in previous projects I haven't. So then I have found myself being quite lost in what to explore next because I haven't really been inspired. I have made a list to try when exploring an artist:

1. Find an artist who inspires your work.

2. Explore mediums and materials they use.

3. Try and find those mediums and materials, also try finding ones that are similar.

4. Then try and explore there techniques and style in your images.

5. Make it your own.

Carrissa Tanton is another artist who I looked at. I was automatically inspired by her work because of the shapes she created, they really remind me of the sea. Also I liked the repetitiveness of the work, however, when. doing my try of this I wanted to explore size. I wanted to create a contrast from the images that I gathered. So I made sure I looked at creating some larger marks in comparison to some smaller ones.

This is another print artist that I looked at when developing my prints further, however, this time I wanted to cut shapes out of my prints and I thought this was an interesting artist to look at (Marliegh Culver). I also like the type of shapes she creates they remind me of the rocks and the chanel, also I like how they are not connected which links to my idea of separation.

The first thing I wanted to explore was black marks within my work, to explore the shapes within my images. Juliana-carolan's work really inspired me because I thought the shapes she created reminded me of the marks you find in the sea. She uses just a pen and creates marks, that's what I liked about it the simplicity of It. Furthermore, I also liked how this then can be applied to print, exploring the marks I find and try them out in print.

MARK MAKING ARTIST: ARYLIC PAINT

10.3.2020

This is ana teresa's work who has inspired me during the weaving day because I liked how she has incorporated weave within her photograph, which I have done. I also like the lines and marks that she has created within her work, which I got when I heat pressed the plastic.  Using embroidery, yarn, and wool, she creates landscapes and other imagery that exists in the space between tapestry and sculpture. Emulating the flow of waves or grass, each piece breaks out of its embroidery hoop and tumbles down the wall upon which it is being displayed.

I found this artist jannamc designs who creates abstract line art, which I thought really would relate to the channel, because the waves and. sand create interest abstract marks. The line work is done free-handed, each individual line has its own movement based on the mood and state of mind of the artist. This is a one of a kind piece of artwork, any other design in this seriese will be different in its own way. The organic textured background has hues of blacks and dark blues.

to the left we have another designs I liked. I again like the repetitive behaviour of the marks, which reminded me of the sea on how every shape tends to get repeated. Also I like how none of the marks are connected because it reminded me of my message of the separation of the countries.

PRINT ARTIST

4.3.20

We had a printing day in which we did some mono prints. This time we applied colour. I really enjoyed doing this, because I found Cyra Poster's work before attending the workshop, so I new my outcome. I really liked his work because his prints are very simple but yet so interesting. They reminded me of the shapes you can see in the channel. I also like the contrast within the marks he makes, some very solid colourist comparison to single lines. Lastly, they reminded me also of the objects you can find in the Chanel such as shells.
